This project involves the construction of a new 4,400m2 Anchor Unit at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.
The work scope includes the demolition of six existing Shop units together with the construction of a new 3 storey Anchor Building.
The new Structural frame is laterally supported by Precast concrete Stair & Lift cores. The composite frame comprises of intumescent coated structural steel & metal decking, which is clad with an Alucobond rainscreen façade system on Kingspan Karrier insulated panelling. The front façade includes a combination of Profilit glazed cladding & large section curtain walling. The curtain walling glass is designed in 5.8m long sections to create clean display lines for the new Anchor Tenant. The facades also contains a large element of Techrete polished concrete panels.
The new Development also includes Lifts, Escalators and shopfronts to both the Mall & Plaza elevations together with extensive Service diversions, 2No. Sub stations & Switch rooms, extensive roof plant area, Service yard extension, modern hard & soft landscaped Plaza area.
- Extensive Design Development to coordinate the façade elements such as Profilit Glazing, Alucobond rainscreen & Curtain walling.
- Out of hours working to ensure that Noise pollution levels were not exceeded.
- Significant structural underpinning to add support to adjacent structures.
- Extensive liaison on a daily basis with Centre Management & Security.
