This project involved the replacement of the existing traffic lights on the Oscar Traynor Rd. All existing services ware relocated to facilitate the new junction layout. New traffic Islands were constructed to facilitate new Pedestrian access. A raised table carriageway was constructed as a Traffic calming measure & as agreed with DCC. Full Traffic management, pre-approved by DCC, was provided for all key elements of the works.

• Extensive pre-planning & meetings with various departments within Dublin City Council in order to get approval to proceed from the Traffic Advisory Group ( TAG ).
• As the entrance to Beaumont Hospital’s A&E dept. is directly through this junction, priority was given to emergency vehicles at all times during the works on a 24/7 basis.
• All of the works were carried out within pre-agreed time scales as set out by DCC, predominately during Sundays & at night.
