Vision Contracting Ltd. completed the Fire Remediation works to both Longboat Quay’s Northern & Southern Apartment Blocks. Critical to the successful outcome was to ensure that the work was undertaken to a tight schedule without Residents vacating the Apartments. Work scope included modifications to Smoke Ventilation System, structural opes to service cores & ventilation shafts, replacement of mechanical fire dampers & actuators, new AOV’s, replacement of dry risers, complete upgrade of service risers both internally & externally, replacement of non-rated partitions with Shaftwall partition systems & 60 minute fire rated partitions as necessary, modifications to fire doors including decoration to all cores.

The works included substantial Mechanical & Electrical upgrades, both in the Apartments & Landlord areas. Work scope extended to include 252 individual Apartments.

• Working to a very tight programme, closely co-ordinated for access as planned & agreed with Apartment Owners and/or Tenants.
• Working in a live Apartment complex ensuring temporary fireproofing measures were in place to meet Dublin Fire Brigade/Dublin City Council’s requirements.
• Retrofitting structural elements in a live & busy environment.
