The work scope for this project involved the fit-out, on two levels, of a vacant shell & core unit. Of critical importance at the outset was the fire proofing remediation of the building fabric. Vision Contracting were appointed Main Contractor and PSCS for the new 20,000ft2 HSE Community Healthcare Centre. The project also includes a remote ground level community Pharmacist.
This PCC not only accommodates local GPs & the HSE Staff working together, it also caters for extensive Healthcare research projects. This new unit provides high specification space for Speech & Language Therapists, Public Health Nurses, Social workers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Home care Support workers, Dentists, Podiatry clinic, ophthalmic & Audiology services, Mental health & Psychology services.
Extensive care & attention was required during the fit-out to ensure Air Conditioning performance met the specified design criteria, thus beside providing acceptable indoor climate for patients & Staff, the Air Conditioning system was installed to reduce the risk of infection by controlling microorganisms in each of the treatment & sluice rooms.
